• Seventh illegal Russian 'aid' convoy set for Donbas delivery

Russia plans to send another unsanctioned 'aid' convoy to east Ukraine

Russia has confirmed plans to send yet one more so-called 'aid' convoy to east Ukraine in the coming days. The Kremlin has already sent six illegal convoys into parts of Ukraine controlled by pro-Russian militants.

The first convoy sent in August sparked international outrage, while the second was described by the European Union as an 'illegal' breach of Ukraine's 'sovereignty'.

In a sign that the Russian convoys have become commonplace, Moscow even called on the International Red Cross 'be more active' prior to the third delivery. The independent humanitarian charity refused to be involved in Russia's early missions, after the Kremlin failed to clarify their contents.

Russian state media organiation TASS claims the convoys have included food, medicine, building materials and fuel.
